How it works

How the 60 GHz link reaches you

AirFibre runs on Ubiquiti's 60 GHz Wave platform. A Wave AP base station beams a tight, high-capacity signal to a Wave dish at your premises — a Wave Nano or Wave Long-Range, depending on your distance from the base station. All the speed of fibre, none of the trenching.

  • 60 GHz spectrum — wide channels for multi-gigabit-class capacity and low latency
  • Wave AP Gen2 base station — a sectorised Ubiquiti base station at our nearest high site
  • Wave Nano or Wave Long-Range CPE — the compact Nano for sites up to ~5 km away, or the larger Long-Range dish for sites up to ~8 km, precisely aimed at the base station
  • Days, not months — no civils or trenching — most sites go live within days of a clear line of sight

How is this different from MTN Tarana?

Both are fixed wireless. MTN Tarana is our consumer-and-SOHO option delivered over the MTN network. Cosmiq AirFibre is our own business-grade service — symmetrical packages, priority support and SLAs available, aimed at offices, branches and sites that need business reliability.

Can you go faster than 200 Mbps or add an SLA?
